Job Title: Designer

YBA Architects is seeking a Designer (Architectural Intern) with excellent architectural design skill. This position will involve all stages of design and construction, with a focus on mixed-use multi-family, office and retail work of all scales.

The primary function of a Designer is to take help with the design and production of quality contract documents while taking direction from the Job Captain and Project Manager.

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • • 1-3 years professional experience in construction documents
  • • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Design, or equivalent
  • • Knowledge of specifications and construction details
  • • Knowledge of Oregon building codes and LEED standards
  • • Comfort in working independently, demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of clients as well as vendors
  • • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp required; Adobe Suite, 3DMax, VRAY a plus
  • • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • • 5+ years professional experience in construction documents
  • • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Design, or equivalent
  • • Previous experience working on mixed-use multifamily projects
  • • Knowledge of specifications and construction details
  • • Knowledge of Oregon building codes and LEED standards
  • • Comfort in working independently, demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of clients as well as vendors
